In the south-east of Cuxhaven, between the "nature reserve Balksee" and the charming hill of the Wingst, KNAUS Campingpark Wingst is situated in a forest and meadows with old trees and small fishing lake. Reed-covered farms, wide marshes and a large forest area characterize the special character of the "Cuxlandes".

A trip by a horse-drawn car to the North Sea island Neuwerk, a hiking trip (about 10 km), the sea banks and a water ski resort promise special holiday experiences.
The deversified scenery of the Wingst with its forests, meadows and lakes invites you to long hiking tours and cycling tours. The water cant of the North Sea is about 30 minutes by car. Cuxhaven is about 30 km away. Other nice destinations for day trips are Stade and Hamburg. These are easy to reach by Metronom (train). Bremerhaven and the island of Helgoland are also nearby.
Another highlight is the observation tower "Deutscher Olymp". The probably oldest excursion destination of the Wingst offers you a fantastic view from the heights of the Wingst across the Elbe to Brunsbüttel and up to the North Sea to Cuxhaven-Altenbruch.
