The KNAUS Campingpark Lackenhäuser is located at an altitude of 850 m on the sunny southern slope of the Dreisesselberg in the midst of the fascinating mountain landscape of the Bavarian Forest. The spacious holiday camping park is a paradise for children and is located on a park-like meadow and forest area with beautiful green spaces and the idyllic Schwalbensee lake. A natural swimming pool with pure spring water makes the vacation experience perfect.
The heated indoor pool with sauna area invites you to relax. New to the programme is Relaqua®, a relaxation concept that has its origins in apnoea diving. The core competence of an apnoea diver is to be able to relax to the point. To do this, he uses various techniques such as meditation, the diving reflex, yoga and especially pranayama, the breathing part of yoga.
The KNAUS Campingpark Lackenhäuser is also centrally located in the border triangle of Germany-Czech Republic-Austria and is the ideal starting point for a flying visit to the European neighbors.

In summer and winter you can make a variety of day trips from Lackenhäuser: Visit Passau, the Austrian Mühlviertel, the Bavarian Forest National Park with its numerous glassblowing factories of the famous Glass Route, woodcutting manufactories and numerous sports activities.
In June 2019, the forest trail at the foot of the Dreisessel was opened. The interactive forest educational and adventure trail leads directly through the camping park and, with its numerous stations, is a great way for young and old to open their senses and discover the secrets of the forest. In October 2021, the new "Sensory Trail" was opened at the foot of the Dreisessel. This trail is suitable for the whole family and leads from the camping park to the Riedelsbach reservoir.
Also take a trip to nearby Neuschönau and visit the spectacular tree top walk and the spacious animal enclosure. The circular trail allows visitors to observe native animals in their natural habitat.
In winter, the wide range of winter sports options will entice you. We especially recommend our own children's ski and tubing lift and the nearby "Hochficht" ski area. The cross-country ski trail passes directly by the camping park.

Winter sports Hochficht
Only some 3,5 km away (distance to the first lift) the ski-safe and family ski area "Hochficht" offers you everything that your heart desires in connection with winter sports! In addition to the slopes with different levels of difficulty, many events, a ski school and rustic huts are there. There is also the Kids Park with childrens` ski slopes. A total of 10 lifts (5 ski lifts, 3 4-seater chairlifts and 2 conveyor belts) transport you to a total of 20 km of slopes.
Baumwipfelpfad
The treetop trail in the Bavarian Forest is the longest treetop trail in the world with a total length of 1.300 meters.
8 to 25 meters above the forest floor, the path provides a genuine natural experience through the peaks of the trees and a view that otherwise only the birds at this altitude can enjoy. Through an entrance gate, which allows the elderly guests, wheelchair users and parents with baby carriages to make a comfortable an non-polluting visit, you will be taken up to the actual path.
