There are many popular camping regions in Spain, but two that stand out are the Costa Brava and the Costa Dorada.
Costa Brava: Stretching along the north-eastern coast of Catalonia, the Costa Brava is known for its dramatic coastal scenery, characterized by rugged cliffs and hidden coves. This region offers numerous campsites, often located in close proximity to the picturesque beaches and turquoise waters. Popular places to camp include Tossa de Mar and Lloret de Mar. The Costa Brava is also known for its charming villages, such as Begur and Cadaqués, and offers many leisure activities such as hiking, cycling and water sports.
Costa Dorada: The Costa Dorada, also known as the "Golden Coast", is located on the Mediterranean coast in southern Catalonia. This region is famous for its long, golden sandy beaches and mild climate. Popular campsites can be found near towns such as Salou and Cambrils. The Costa Dorada has many family-friendly campsites with plenty of leisure activities, including water parks and sports facilities. The Costa Dorada is also culturally attractive, being close to Tarragona, a city with a rich history and impressive Roman ruins. Both regions offer a variety of options for a successful camping holiday, depending on whether you prefer the rugged, natural landscapes of the Costa Brava or the relaxed atmosphere of the Costa Dorada.
