The best time for camping at Lake Balaton is from May to September, when the weather is warm and the days are long. In the off-season, i.e. spring (April to May) and autumn (October), prices are often cheaper and sites are less crowded. Albatross-Reisen offers accommodation at the Balatontourist Füred campsite, which is also available in the off-season. Winter camping at Lake Balaton is less common, as many campsites are closed during the winter time.
